PENGARUH BABY SPA TERHADAP KUALITAS TIDUR BAYI USIA 3 – 6 BULAN DI OVERJOY MOM & BABY SPA KOTA BANDUNG TAHUN 2026
Abstract
ABSTRACT
Sleep disturbances remain one of the most common health problems among infants and may adversely affect growth and neurological development. Baby spa is a non-pharmacological intervention that is presumed to improve infants' sleep quality. This study aimed to determine the effect of baby spa on the sleep quality of infants aged 3–6 months at Overjoy Mom & Baby Spa, Bandung City, in 2026. This study employed a pre-experimental design using a One Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The sample consisted of 33 infants aged 3–6 months selected using the total sampling technique. Data were collected using the Brief Infant Sleep Questionnaire (BISQ), and data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analyses with the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test at a significance level of p≤0.05. Before the intervention, 17 infants (51.5%) had disturbed sleep, while 16 infants (48.5%) had normal sleep quality. After the baby spa intervention, all infants (100%) demonstrated normal sleep quality. The Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test showed a p-value of 0.000 (p<0.05), indicating that baby spa had a significant effect on improving the sleep quality of infants aged 3–6 months. Therefore, baby spa may be considered a non-pharmacological intervention to help improve infant sleep quality.
