To support the Ending AIDS 2030 target, the West Java Provincial Health Office has implemented various HIV control strategies in accordance with the policies of the Indonesian Ministry of Health through the Getting Three Zero approach. This study aimed to analyze the implementation of the HIV/AIDS control policy based on George C. Edwards III’s public policy implementation framework, which comprises communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure. A qualitative approach with a descriptive-evaluative design was employed. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis, and were analyzed using an inductive approach. The findings indicate that communication has been conducted through multiple channels; however, its clarity and consistency remain uneven, particularly across sectors. Human resources, budget allocation, and policy-related information were found to be insufficient relative to the program's geographic coverage and complexity. Although implementers demonstrated a positive disposition, the use of evidence-based data in decision-making has not yet been fully optimized. The bureaucratic structure is supported by clear standard operating procedures (SOPs), but cross-sectoral coordination has weakened since the Provincial AIDS Commission became inactive. Overall, the implementation of the HIV/AIDS control policy has progressed reasonably well; however, strengthening cross-sectoral collaboration, resource capacity, and communication is essential to improve policy effectiveness.
Gugum Pamungkas, Gultom Oktavia Indah ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ejurnal.stikesdhb.ac.id/index.php/Jsm/article/view/603 Thu, 30 Jul 2026 00:00:00 SE Asia Standard Time HUBUNGAN USIA DAN LAMA BEKERJA PERAWAT DENGAN GAYA MANAJEMEN KONFLIK DI PUSAT MATA NASIONAL RUMAH SAKIT MATA CICENDO BANDUNG https://ejurnal.stikesdhb.ac.id/index.php/Jsm/article/view/604
Background : Conflict within healthcare organizations, particularly in hospital settings, is an unavoidable phenomenon that significantly impacts performance and service quality. One intervention to overcome nausea and vomiting is acupressure. This study aimed to compare the effectiveness of acupressure at the PC6 and ST36 points in reducing the intensity of nausea and vomiting among first-trimester pregnant women at Ami Medika Clinic, Sukabumi Regency. The research method used was a Quasi-Experimental design with a Pretest–Posttest Two Group Design. The sample consisted of 30 respondents first-trimester pregnant women experiencing nausea and vomiting, divided into two treatment groups: 15 respondents the PC6 acupressure group and 15 respondents the ST36 acupressure group. The intensity of nausea and vomiting was measured using the Pregnancy-Unique Quantification of Emesis and Nausea (PUQE) scale before and after the intervention. The results of the study comparing the effectiveness of PC6 and ST36 acupressure showed that both had a significant effect on reducing nausea and vomiting in pregnant women in the first trimester (P=0.000). However, in terms of the average reduction and range of Confidence Interval values, PC6 showed higher effectiveness (95% CI: 4.660-7.340) compared to ST36 (95% CI: 4.644-6.356). This indicates that acupressure intervention at the PC6 point is more effective in reducing nausea and vomiting in pregnant women in the first trimester compared to ST36. This study aimed to identify the signs and symptoms of Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS), estimate its prevalence according to demographic characteristics, analyze associated risk factors, and examine the relationship between CVS and myopic refractive errors in children. A literature review was conducted by synthesizing evidence from reputable electronic scientific databases focusing on children aged 8–18 years. The selected studies were analyzed using a descriptive-comparative approach. The findings indicate that the prevalence of CVS among school-aged children exceeds 60%, with the most commonly reported symptoms including eye strain, red eyes, blurred vision, and headaches. Significant risk factors include prolonged screen time, poor ergonomic posture, and inadequate lighting conditions. Individual characteristics contribute to symptom variation, with boys more frequently reporting acute visual complaints. The evidence further suggests that myopia is not a direct causal factor of CVS but rather a secondary condition that may be aggravated by prolonged and inappropriate screen-viewing habits. CVS has substantial physiological and psychological impacts on children. These findings highlight the importance of early eye health education and preventive interventions. Parents, educators, and eye care professionals should promote ergonomic practices, implement the 20-20-20 rule, limit screen exposure, and encourage regular eye examinations to reduce the burden of CVS in children.
Anggit Nugroho, Motris Pamungkas, Feranita Alisha Hendra ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ejurnal.stikesdhb.ac.id/index.php/Jsm/article/view/606 Thu, 30 Jul 2026 00:00:00 SE Asia Standard Time ANALISIS HASIL DETEKSI DINI GANGGUAN PENGLIHATAN DAN PEMERIKSAAN KELAINAN REFRAKSI PADA MASYARAKAT PULAU TIDUNG, KEPULAUAN SERIBU https://ejurnal.stikesdhb.ac.id/index.php/Jsm/article/view/607
Limited access to eye care services in island communities contributes to a high prevalence of undiagnosed visual impairment. One common complaint among pregnant women—particularly those in the third trimester—is back pain. Engaging in light exercise, such as prenatal gymnastics, is one way to improve health during pregnancy. A preliminary survey at the Rajamandala Community Health Center (Puskesmas) revealed that 37 (41.1%) third-trimester pregnant women suffered from lower back pain. This study aimed to determine the effect of prenatal gymnastics on reducing lower back pain in third-trimester pregnant women. A pre-experimental research method utilizing a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design was employed. The study involved 30 respondents who participated in prenatal gymnastics sessions twice a week for a period of two weeks. Pain levels were measured using the Numerical Rating Scale (NRS), and the data were analyzed using the Paired Sample T-test. The results showed that the mean pain score was 4 (moderate pain) prior to the exercises and dropped to 3 (mild pain) afterward. The analysis yielded a p-value of 0.001, indicating a significant effect of prenatal gymnastics on back pain. In conclusion, prenatal gymnastics has an effect on lower back pain in third-trimester pregnant women. It is recommended that pregnant women perform these exercises regularly to help alleviate lower back pain.
Ira Kartika, Riska Rahmawati ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ejurnal.stikesdhb.ac.id/index.php/Jsm/article/view/628 Thu, 30 Jul 2026 00:00:00 SE Asia Standard Time PENGEMBANGAN INTERVENSI PROMOSI KESEHATAN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KESIAPSIAGAAN BENCANA KEBAKARAN DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH https://ejurnal.stikesdhb.ac.id/index.php/Jsm/article/view/629
Introduction: The high incidence of fire disasters in Bandung—198 cases in 2017, averaging 16.5 incidents per month and affecting an area of 3,316 m²—underscores the urgent need for promotive interventions in fire prevention and preparedness, particularly in school settings. Schools, as densely populated and high-risk environments, require health promotion-based approaches to enhance awareness and emergency response capacity among students. This study aimed to assess students' knowledge of fire disaster preparedness at SMK Negeri 8 Bandung and to develop a health promotion intervention. The intervention included the establishment of a school disaster preparedness team, fire response training, development of infographic-based educational media, and hands-on practice using fire extinguishers (APAR). Methode: A mixed-method approach with a Research and Development (R&D) design was employed. Results showed that students' knowledge was initially low. Results: Post-intervention, there was a significant increase in knowledge (Wilcoxon test, p = 0.002). Students demonstrated the ability to correctly and safely operate fire extinguishers. A formal disaster preparedness team was established through a school decree and is currently implementing an action plan. The educational media received highly positive evaluations (average score: 97.8). Conclusion: These findings indicate that comprehensive health promotion interventions can significantly improve school fire preparedness. Continued support for training, educational materials, and preparedness infrastructure is essential as part of sustainable promotive and preventive strategies in educational institutions.
Tuti Surtimanah, Gugum Pamungkas, Siti Salma Alfiyanti, Safa Qurani Fatiha, Denok Salindri, Dani Murdaya, Ratu Ayya ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://ejurnal.stikesdhb.ac.id/index.php/Jsm/article/view/629 Thu, 30 Jul 2026 00:00:00 SE Asia Standard Time PENERAPAN TEKNIK VOCALIZATION DAN DEEP BREATHING UNTUK MENGATASI NYERI KALA I PERSALINAN PARTUS MATURUS: STUDI KASUS https://ejurnal.stikesdhb.ac.id/index.php/Jsm/article/view/630
Background: Normal labor is characterized by uterine contractions that increase as cervical dilation increases. Increasingly frequent and strong contractions are perceived as labor pain that affects the comfort and psychology of the mother giving birth. One intervention that can be given is the application of deep breathing-vocalization techniques. The purpose of this study was to analyze the application of deep breathing-vocalization techniques in patients with labor pain. Method: This type of research is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques through interviews, observations, physical examinations, and documentation studies. The sample consisted of 2 mothers giving birth in the active phase of the first stage, namely Mrs. A (G2P1A0) and Mrs. D (G1P0A0). Labor pain was perceived using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). Result: Before intervention, Mrs. A and Mrs. D both reported severe labor pain with an NRS score of 8. After the application of deep breathing and vocalization, Mrs. A showed a decrease in pain from 8 to 7, while Mrs. D decreased from 8 to 6. Both clients appeared more relaxed, were better able to regulate breathing, and showed improved behavioral control during contractions. Conclusion: Deep breathing and vocalization may help reduce first-stage labor pain and improve maternal comfort. These techniques can be considered as independent nursing interventions and may be combined with other non-pharmacological strategies based on maternal needs.
Raden Nety Rustikayanti, A Azis, Inggrid Dirgahayu, Tri Nur Jayanti ##submission.copyrightStatement## http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://ejurnal.stikesdhb.ac.id/index.php/Jsm/article/view/630 Thu, 30 Jul 2026 00:00:00 SE Asia Standard Time
